Usenet News Server for Windows NT


Tortoise is a news server based on our news transit server NNTPRelay. It is built to easily keep up with today's Usenet volume. It runs on Windows NT Server 4.0 (SP3 strongly recommended.)

Cyclical article storage
Cyclical history
Cyclical group database (similar to Diablo's methodology)
Support for Highwind style external spam filtering
Efficient cross-feeding
Ease in taking a full feed
Very tolerant of suck feeds (though it does not support NEWNEWS)
Overview pregeneration/caching, providing very high performance overview operation
Slaving
Transit-only operation
